Question 1

What exactly is the EX Epic Academy internship?

Accepted Answer

A 3 to 6 month immersive AI product accelerator in Canggu, Bali. You ship real AI products alongside the EX Venture team, inside a portfolio company, in person not a course you watch.

Question 2

How long is the program?

Accepted Answer

3 to 6 months. The core runs 4 to 6 months; some tracks are shorter. You move into the founder house and build full-time.

Question 3

How many fellows are selected?

Accepted Answer

12 fellows per cohort, chosen from 25,000+ applicants. It is highly selective by design.

Question 4

Is the internship paid?

Accepted Answer

No. Under Indonesian labour and immigration law, internships in Indonesia are unpaid and offered for education, mentorship, and experience only. Outstanding operators may be invited to paid roles or venture-backed projects after the program, by mutual invitation and never guaranteed.

Question 5

Is there a tuition fee?

Accepted Answer

Zero tuition. The 4 to 6 month accelerator is offered at no charge to accepted builders. We do not sell credentials or certificates that count toward any formal academic qualification.

Question 6

How much does housing cost?

Accepted Answer

Housing is optional. If you live on-campus in Bali it runs about $400 USD/month shared and $800 USD/month private, covering co-living, daily lunch, and 24/7 access to the venture floor. You may also live off-campus at your own arrangement.

Question 7

Can I get free housing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Exceptional operators may be offered free housing under our Elite Incentive, decided at the live assessment interview based on execution velocity, vision, and capacity to ship. It is not guaranteed.

Question 8

How can I fund my fellowship?

Accepted Answer

Four ways: Full Scholarship (top 40% of fellows receive full funding), Erasmus+ / DAAD (EU students via their university), Corporate Sponsor (your employer sends you), or Self-Funded (partial scholarships available based on merit).

Question 9

Who can apply?

Accepted Answer

Anyone 18 or older. The program is built for final-year university students, international students seeking global experience, graduates interested in AI or venture capital, aspiring founders, and digital marketing and tech enthusiasts.

Question 10

What are the application requirements?

Accepted Answer

Four things: a 2-minute video pitch (why you, why now), a portfolio / CV or proof of work, a short essay on what you would build, and a final interview with the founding team.

Question 11

What is the selection process?

Accepted Answer

Apply online, then a live interview with the team over WhatsApp or a call to see how you think and what you want. We read every application personally. Every serious applicant hears back from a human within days.

Question 12

When should I apply?

Accepted Answer

Rolling. Seats are limited and filled on a rolling basis, so earlier applications have an advantage. Apply as soon as you are ready.

Question 13

Do I need a visa for Bali?

Accepted Answer

Most builders travel on a social/cultural visa (B211A) or equivalent. Visa eligibility and duration are set by Indonesian immigration and may change. You are responsible for confirming the right visa for your nationality and stay. We do not sponsor visas, but we can introduce you to a licensed third-party visa agent. All visa costs and arrangements are yours.

Question 14

Where is the campus?

Accepted Answer

The primary campus is in Canggu, Bali, Indonesia. We also run a European campus in the Canary Islands.

Question 15

Is employment guaranteed after the program?

Accepted Answer

No. You leave with a portfolio of shipped AI products, a network, and a track record of execution. Hiring or venture backing is by mutual invitation only and never automatic.

Question 16

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

A laptop, curiosity, and readiness to execute. If you live on-campus, housing, daily lunch, and 24/7 venture-floor access are included. Surf, yoga, networking events, and weekend adventures are part of the Bali experience.
